#1111 closed Bug Report (fixed)

Jalv generic GUI controls don't always work

Reported by: jrigg Owned by: David Robillard
Priority: minor Component: Jalv
Keywords: Cc:

Description

Jalv doesn't allow negative gain values with the swh-lv2 EQ plugins, so only boosts are possible. The same plugins work fine in Ingen. Jalv and Ingen are both from current git, swh-lv2 is Debian Jessie amd64 package.

Change History (4)

Tested using Single Para EQ from swh-lv2. (Triple Para from same package doesn't work properly in either Jalv or Ingen due to spurious dc, but I suspect that's the plugin)

Single Para EQ frequency control doesn't appear to respond either. Value looks correct but no apparent effect. Displayed gain range is only 0 to 1 dB.

Summary: Jalv doesn't allow negative gain values with swh-lv2 EQ pluginsJalv generic GUI controls don't always work

On further investigation, most of the LV2 plugins I've tried in the jalv generic GUI have some non-functioning controls. The control values look correct but are ignored. The plugin's own GUI (if provided) works. Workaround appears to be to revert to last released versions of all LV2 stuff.
